Dr. Kristin L. Moilanen is a developmental psychologist. Her research interests include adolescence and adulthood, sexual risk-taking, self-regulation, and individual longitudinal change.
In June 2022, Dr. Moilanen joined the Life Experiences and Well-Being in Adults Study as a Visiting Senior Research Specialist-Social Sciences within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is the current Editor in Chief of the Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology.
Previously, Dr. Moilanen was a postdoctoral fellow with the Pitt Mother and Child Project at the University of Pittsburgh from 2005-2008 and an associate professor in Child Development and Family Studies at West Virginia University from 2008-2022.
