In June 2022, Dr. Moilanen joined the Life Experiences and Well-Being in Adults Study as a Visiting Senior Research Specialist-Social Sciences within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Moilanen also holds a special appointment as an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Department of Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Dr. Moilanen served as an Associate Editor (2017-2020) and as the Editor in Chief (2021-2023) of the Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology.
Previously, Dr. Moilanen was an assistant/associate professor in Child Development and Family Studies at West Virginia University from 2008-2022 and a postdoctoral fellow with the Pitt Mother and Child Project at the University of Pittsburgh from 2005-2008.
